  • Is it possible to dry-age only 1 steak? Normally we dry-age a whole loin but never one steak. After many people requested this experiment today I deliver it with 3 different methods. I was shocked by this experiment and it is something you can try at home easily.

                        Question:
The two butter covered steaks you did, where they covered in the fridge for 14 days or was the butter the “bag?”

Hey guga, I'm trying to dry age, and my umai bag seems fairly loose around the meat, should I try resealing it?

                                    Jarrad McCarthy  2 days back

Update, I opened the bag, used a new vacmouse and resealed it, this time trying harder to get all the air out, it seems much better with much more contact aside from a little in the corner, though the meat wasn't wet anymore so the membrane in some spots didn't seem to adhere well. Should I have rubbed some water on it for a better stick to the bag?

Good stuff. I would argue covering a steak in butter and putting it in the fridge is marinating the steak.

Put something on the walls to reduce the reflections or I dont know. Just write this to help to keep your videos perfect.

Also depending on the environment and manner in which the cow is slaughtered for Halal-beef, the meat might even be better, because there was less stress on the cow. But yeah, same thing for the most part.
