Nice. It would be even better if Lexus USA was contacted and help out the project.

good idea. Turbos are great, but MML should be restored.

Don’t fully restore it, just keep up the maintenance and keep driving it.
Any hunk of shit can be restored, but only a Lexus can just keep going.

Obviously if there’s rust, repair it, as for the paintwork, if places need a touch up or maybe some clear coat, fine.
But try to keep as much original paint as possible, as it also shows the quality of the entire car.

turbos suck. you shouldnt have even thought about it. theyre generic and nobody wants to see another shitty turbo build just so a car can make a little power.

I just had an idea... what if you did put a turbo , but NOT for power... FOR FUEL ECONOMY!
What if you can make this Lexus so economical it inspires people to buy these vehicles and do the same ?
Show case all the trick of fuel economy... what a challenge!

Seen some of your videos before and was a bit on the fence. Don’t get me wrong, I think you do some really quality work, but I don’t have a Lamborghini or a Bentley so I felt a little out of touch. When I watched you talk about putting boost on the MML (million mile Lexus) I cringed a bit. Your decision to restore the car, however, has without a doubt earned my sub. Really classy decision imo. I look forward to seeing that LS 400 creep back into the “mint” category.
And while I’m sure you’ve already explored this, I’d bet good money that Toyota would be down with shelling out some cash/parts to get that car back to showroom condition. I can’t think of a better way to advertise the longevity and quality of their products.
Again, SO SO glad you’ve decided not to boost it to death. Well played, sir. Well played.

                                                                  • Eddy Ronbinson

                                                                  • RedsBaller

The people want to see how far this car goes, not be turbo’d just to blow it up. Tavarish could easily walk down the street, pick up a different LS400 for next to nothing, and turbo that.

                                                                  • Eddy Ronbinson

Just my opinion anyway, I wouldn't restore a car then not touch the engine

                                                                  • RedsBaller
