In the fifties and sixties people didn't want the government listening in on the conversation at the dinner table, now people have Alexa?

When Google discovered the power Behavioural Surplus, and post-9/11 govts developed an appetite for what Google could do with that information, that was the end of 20th century notions of privacy. Should have Shosana Zuboff on the podcast to talk about it, I reckon Joe could talk forever with her.

There's no privacy on peoples' thoughts or beliefs either. You're forced to comment on political, moral, or spiritual issues by people who don't want your opinion anyways if it disagrees with theirs. So you become the bad guy for their inquisition.

Well yea that's what happened when we allowed technology to take over. Now you can be tracked and recorded by anyone and everyone. Of course privacy is disappearing, and it'll only get worse

Privacy isn't just disappearing, people are giving it away. I live a private life free from social media, and you can too. No one that isn't a large part of my life knows where I work, whether or not I am married, how many children I have, or if I have them at all. People give away the most important thing they have, and more often than not it's to acquaintances or people that just don't care. Personally I think it's sad, and it isn't doing anyone any favors.

Privacy isn't disappearing, people just explain themselves more. I'd prefer to not encounter a single person on a daily basis. It sucks being forced to interact with random folks while you're living your life.

Someone sends an intimate picture to their partner, 30 years later people are somehow able to find it and publicise it on some perverted website. It's disgusting.

a qr code is just a barcode with a higher concentration of data.
Its basically a weblink URL in a graphical data format.

There are sites where you can watch people's hacked cameras, they claim that they don't hack them that they're just not secure, but what's the difference they're watching you. I figure if anyone's pathetic enough to get entertainment from watching my life they're probably days away from killing themselves anyway.

Nnnoooo, never. They signed a contract, but yeah. BS. Privacy issue potential for sure. I don't like the beat down videos. Could never watch them. Horrific, watching someone or alot of someones seriously beating up another person just to see or for entertainment. Gross. Once my husband accidentally came across one with a little person and a legless guy because he clicked on it thinking it was something else and even though they both seemed ok with the filming of it it was still all wrong. Who comes across these things and says, Oh yeah...let me film this while I sit by and watch this other person get seriously beat down inthe street with no gloves, rules or medics around?? Terrible. If any one recorded anyone I loved and had a say with or myself getting attacked or heat down by anyone, oh lord...it would be civil suitpapers served as soon as I found out, some how, some way, there had to be a legal right to that privacy, just like in your house when you are fighting again, lol..we all fight again somtimes. Imagine that crap being someone's entertainment. Even though it might be nice to think someone else out there might think you're right it's still so creepy and illegal..right?

All these eons of evolution have done absolutely nothing...and the worst of it, it's we glorify these cocksuckers for being violent. Sorry Joe I know you where into this MMA thing...but kinda makes you think don't it?
