How about Clowney and 2 1sts for Stills and Tunsil? Why was Seattle even a part of this?

Joshua Knepshield Because Clowney had not signed his franchise tender, and as such, couldn’t be traded. So Clowney had a measure of control over where he went. He did meet with the Dolphins, but he wasn’t going to sign if that’s where he ended up.

That old guy needs to stop worrying about the one year rental part and actually Express what you think clowny will do. Cause they gave up two no names and a third that their gonna get back if clowny leaves. So it's a win for the hawks either way.

Steve R. Maybe not pumped to lose him but all of the Texans boards I’m on are overwhelmingly in favor of not paying what he was asking. Supposedly he only gave the Texans two teams to trade with so we didn’t have much leverage. He had to sign the tender to make the trade possible.

Lol we got some good WRs. Like Chris said they may not be household names and they may not all be Doug Baldwin but we got Tyler Lockett, Jaron Brown, DK Metcalf, J Ursua, G Jennings, David Moore and TE Nick Vannett who’s not so bad at catching the ball if necessary. We ran the ball a lot last season because that’s what we’re known for. That’s Pete’s thing. And you can see O line doing a lot better this season if you saw how they protected Russ in a couple preseason games that Russ played.

I have three words to sum up the Clowney trade "Knees, Knees, Knees" No way the team was going to pay 20 million to a player who has bone on  bone issues in both knees! Seahawks just bought a lemon, he'll be hurt and out by the six games of the 2019 season! Take a look at those knee X-rays no cartilage!

But they didn't buy him. They got him for a year. There's basically zero risk for the Seahawks here. It's a one year deal, where the Texans are paying nearly half his salary. All they gave up was a third round pick and some guys who were going to be cut anyway, and they get back that third round pick if things go sideways.
