Cactus has a roman root, so it turns into cacti. Octopus is from a greek root, hence why it becomes octopuses; however, I am a big fan of the original plural form of the word, Octopodes, and am making a push to return it to the common tongue.

I feel like they would like the last of us. It has a fantastic story with lots to do. Alot of the dialogue is optional and you get the story just by playing through you dont have to read dialogue to understand the basic story, reading dialogue just fills in some of the details

I feel like they got very lucky finding that last bug because they were not comprehending the idea that the fuma rolls were timed and staggered. All they had to do was wait for it to stop and then pass

For anyone wondering, “octopuses” and “octopi” are both correct, the only difference is that one originates from Latin(octopuses) and the other from Greek(octopi)

It's spelled Octopodes. That's the correct plural of octopus. It's not really octopuses, or octopi. Octopi is a much more accepted term though.

Arin is free to his opinions as everyone is, but I don't get why he consistently gets aggravated about story or continuity , whenever Dan asks a question. Just answer the question to the best of your ability, dont get angry over Zelda and take it out on Dan.

I've heard it argued that octopi doesn't make sense, as octopus comes from Greek, not Latin. But what people do is right, I suppose. We create language XP

It's octopodes. But nobody would go by the correct plural form from Latin. Too cumbersome, I guess.
