You seem to overlook the difference between first gen equinox and 2nd gen. You already admitted in previous video that the 3.4 lit gm produced was a pretty good engine. And the equinox 3.4 is just a modified grand am engine. Also, you said Aisin transmission is the best. Well, the first gen equinox has a Aisin transmission. And there are loads of people with a 2005- 2009 equinox that have well over 150,000 miles. The second gen has had many problems with their 2.4 lit engine unless you purchase the 3.6 lit v6.
I have owned a 2006 equinox past 3 years and it's the best vehicle I've owned so far.

I own a Chrysler Aspen. It has over 250km(on Quebec Canada roads) and there is no problem engine wise. neither with rain issues..
I got a peach out of the lemon basket. I'm proud of that truck,
I can't say otherwise for the other owners of Aspens. If you're *a truck guru I'd say put a demon package in one of these and keep the lights on for the next 30 odd years until another Aspen badged Chrysler takes form from the ashes.

I had an Aspen, I never had a problem with it, and they never planned to keep making them, that's why they were all limited, I didn't need the gas guzzler anymore so I traded it in for a small car

My mom got really lucky. She bought a brand new 2008 Mercury Mariner Premier V-6 and has had great luck with it. So far almost 140K with only a leaky oil pan gasket that required dropping the engine because it has two sections and can't be done with the engine in place and an ignition module that is common with this and the Ford Escape. Luckily we have a good mechanic because the Ford dealer wanted to take her to the cleaners on repairs. I give her props because I stick with Honda and Toyota. My 2002 Civic was sold four years ago with 324,000 miles original engine and trans. Transmission did go out and new owner replaced and is still enjoying that Honda today. My 2011 Prius purchased new by me has 199,600 miles. Original everything including brakes. Knock on wood not one single problem. Plan on keeping it as long as it keeps going the way it is. I've had two Town and Country Minivans and loved both of them. The 97 went 150K before things started to go out. Got rid of it when 2nd transmission went out at 179K. The next was a 2001 Limited. Loved it, loved it. This one did give me a bit more trouble than the first. A/C went out before 90k. Transmission at 95K. Power Steering pump at 97K. There was something else, just can't remember. Those were the big things. Overall it was a great van to travel in and would still have if some lady in a 2005 PT Cruiser hadn't rear ended me at 45 MPH. My car was a total because it was 16 years old but still repairable. Her car was obliterated. So at 108,000 miles I had to say goodbye to an old friend that was there when I was raising my four kids. The van was spotless. People thought it was a lot newer because it looked new inside and out. The saving grace was that I was in the van and not the Prius at the time of the accident. I wouldn't have walked away like I did in the van. The Prius is not the car to be in an accident. I hit a dog on the freeway in the middle of the night and it cost $17,000 to put it back together. The solar moonroof bumped the value of the car just enough not to be a total loss.

The manual transmission needed a rebuild. But, the engine was rebuilt around 100k or so. Each time. But, was driven hard.

We had a couple cars and I wanted to get an SUV. We had just got rid of our Explorer and after that nightmare I wanted to stay away from trucks. We had a couple Chevy's (with a lot of miles still running strong) and I had an 93 Oldsmobile (they run like a champ.) So I got a Chrysler Pacifica and my kids father who's a mechanic wasn't excited of the idea of a Chrysler but it was a great price. We got it knowing it needed a new catty but after that he seemed impressed by the features. Until the heat stopped working in winter. Then the window wipers quite. We fixed the wipers and he found out what was wrong with the heater it was the blower motor. Then he got runed off the road by a truck and the exhaust broke. But we have no emissions where we live so we just put it back on until we could get a new one. Then the transmission wouldn't shift. The sensors was cracked so it would stop. Finally it blew a piston and he said never again. Not as much needed replace as our Ford's but at least the transmission never stopped on us. Mean while our one cavalier just needed a new window so we could drive it and we're busy throwing all this money into a car that won't run. Then we finally got the new window on it that thing ran and ran and ran and ran. And the Chevy truck that was a beast never stopped money pit though when I came to gas but it didn't even break it was just impounded. Same with my Nana's Chevy. And I waste so much time with an suv
