  • We’re not finished with that storm drain just yet. There’s more sadness (and horror) to be found inside of it in this scene from “It Chapter Two,” the second installment of the big-screen adaptation of Stephen King’s chilling novel.

Here, the character Bill Denbrough (played as an adult by James McAvoy) has found his old bike in the town of Derry, Me., and takes it for a spin. This trip down memory lane leads him on a journey through darker memories, back to the day his younger brother, Georgie, was fatally wounded at a storm drain.

In his narration, the director Andy Muschietti discusses the scene’s meaning, and how he opted for a visual effects assist to capture one particularly dreadful moment.
